GitFinds ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website gitfinds.pages.dev and the associated Instagram publication @gitfinds.si. We respect the privacy of developers and site visitors. This policy outlines how information is handled when you browse our catalog, submit contact or promotion inquiries, or interact with our automated social tools.

2. Information We Collect

• Anonymous Aggregated Analytics: We collect non-personally identifiable metrics including total pageviews, outbound clicks to GitHub repositories, 1-click cloud deploy clicks, and referring websites (e.g. Instagram Bio, Direct, Twitter/X). We do not record individual IP addresses or build personal user profiles.
• Inquiry & Promotion Information: When you submit a paid promotion request or message via our forms, we collect the details you provide (your name, email address, project URL, and message). This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and deliver your requested services.
• Public GitHub Metadata: We index public open-source repositories via GitHub's public API. This includes repository names, descriptions, star counts, programming languages, and publicly displayed maintainer usernames/avatars.

3. Instagram Automation & Direct Messaging

When you comment on a video reel or post on @gitfinds.si, our webhook powered by Cloudflare Workers receives a temporary Meta API notification containing your comment text and user ID in order to automatically send the requested repository link and Cursor AI prompt directly to your Instagram inbox. We do not store or sell your Instagram profile data or subscribe you to marketing broadcasts.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

GitFinds does not use tracking cookies for behavioral ad networks. We may store minimal user interface state (such as your preferred active category filter) in your browser's local storage for a seamless browsing experience.

5. Third-Party Links & Affiliates

Our catalog contains outbound links to third-party services, including GitHub, DigitalOcean, and other cloud providers. Some deployment or cloud links may contain affiliate tags that support the operational costs of GitFinds at no additional expense to you. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.
